The Voyage

 

            I'm Kate Angela Rabena, and I'd like to introduce myself. I am a 15-year-old girl from Tamorong, Sta. Catalina, Ilocos Sur. My journey started on the 30th of August 2006 at Gabriela Silang General Hospital. You'll learn a lot about me, and a lot has happened in my life already, but there's still more to learn and discover in the future. I have a ton of interesting things about me, and I’ll be trying to state some of it here. Let’s get right into it!!

            I am a 10th grade student from Ilocos Sur National Highschool (ISNHS), in a section named 10-Maxwell. I was the type of kid in elementary who always excelled in my classes and loved being creative, since then creating art really caught my heart. Being an architect has always been my dream because I love being creative and having a wide imagination on what I am going to create I something that I am passionate about. Becoming a doctor, flight attendant and modeling is also something that I am into. In such a young age I already learned how to be independent since my parents are in Canada, and I would have to do stuff on my own.

Having to do all these things really taught me how difficult life is and became an eye opener in life. I am a very soft hearted girl who is afraid of the future especially failures, but I’d like to think of failure as a battle I lost but a war I could still win. Think of failure as a complicated friend rather than a vile enemy. In short, I am just a simple human being who is scared of tomorrow but wants to succeed in life, make my parents proud and also grow as a person throughout my life. There are more things that could happen in life, this is just the beginning of our own journeys.

                        The Christmas breeze is blowing, and the festive spirit is in the air. Christmas, one of the most enjoyable holidays, has arrived. It's that time of year where you want to give and spend time with your loved ones. Covid-19 may have had an impact on all of our lives, but it will not prevent us from celebrating. Kagitingan ng mga Pilipino

The story of the Fall of Bataan remains to be a devastating tale. But unlike The Shining or American Psycho, this is not a story ripped off of fiction books. It is a tragedy engraved in the dark pages of our history. The Day of Valour, also known as the Araw ng Kagitingan, commemorates the Filipino and American soldiers who stood up against Japanese forces during World War II. This historic day commemorates the  valor of Filipino veterans and American allies who fought against the Japanese invasion in World War II, during which thousands of lives were lost defending the country's freedom and sovereignty.
