Quality Education in the Midst of Pandemic

The COVID-19 pandemic has led to uncertainty in many areas of national and global society, including education. This pandemic made us all realize what it means to not have access to education and learning experiences that are routinely planned for us in our daily lives. Numerous people have gone to school via distance learning platforms in recent months, highlighting the distinction between quality education and simply having access to education. A simple webcam connection with your teacher is frequently insufficient to ensure human development in terms of learning.
Education teaches us about our society and environment, as well as how to change them for the better. Education also assists us in developing our own perspective on our lives, preparing us to have our own points of view and form our own opinions on various aspects of life. Today's education is not merely a means of acquiring knowledge. Nowadays, anyone with a computer and an internet connection can gain access to vast amounts of data and information via various websites and e-commerce platforms. We have been dealing with a massive crisis since the beginning of 2020. The COVID-19 pandemic has wreaked havoc all over the world. The most common type of Distance Learning is modular learning. This learning modality is currently used by all public schools in the Philippines since, according to a Department of Education survey, learning through printed and digital modules emerged as the most preferred distance learning method for parents with children enrolled this academic year. This also includes a lot of learners in rural areas where the internet is not available for online learning.

Even if distance learning is difficult, we must be grateful that we are still able to learn during the pandemic. Some students are unable to fulfill the standards for online classes. Another flaw is that some students struggle to understand, making it difficult for them to keep up with this type of education. Many learners have mixed feelings about this method of learning; some prefer it, while others prefer face-to-face classes. For me, it is preferable if we can return to face-to-face instruction in order to receive a quality education. To lessen COVID cases, the government must work on improving our country. A high-quality education is ideal for students as it will help them reach their desired goals.
