Our Best Shot

The virus's rapid spread stunned the entire world. The government has already devised a solution to prevent the spread of the aforementioned disease. Scientists and researchers from all over the world have already developed a vaccine, which will be a critical new tool in the fight against COVID-19. As they continue to collaborate and innovate in order to bring people tests, treatments, and vaccines that will collectively save lives and put an end to the pandemic. However, the vaccines developed before the others were only safe for adults aged 18 to 59. The nationwide rollout of COVID-19 vaccination among 12 to 17 years old began in early November.

The Philippines has already received the first tranche of 1 million CoronaVac doses, indicating that the government is doing its part to ensure that vaccine is available throughout the country for us to be vaccinated. As a result, we can now reduce the number of cases and continue to strive for a Covid-free country. Even with this type of solution, many people are still opposed to the COVID-19 vaccine because they have heard and read about the side effects of the vaccine after being vaccinated. There have also been news reports that some people died, leading people to believe that the vaccine is not guaranteed to be safe. Because children's bodies are different from adults', they require fewer doses or amounts. We should be aware of the medical conditions of our children. It is suggested that they seek medical attention first if they have a weakened immune system or comorbidities. It has been established that vaccines have side effects, which everyone should be aware of before getting vaccinated. Other teenagers and children are afraid of getting vaccinated because of the side effects. But this is the best option for all of us since it will benefit us all. It may not completely protect us from the virus, but it will reduce the chances of it spreading and infecting us.

Even today, the pandemic caused by CoVid-19 disease is widespread. From Wuhan, China, it spread to the rest of the world. People were given health protocols to follow in order to reduce and control the number of patients. Lockdown and quarantine have also been beneficial. Vaccines developed by various scientists and tested are now being distributed to various countries, including the Philippines. Despite the fact that many people are unwilling to obtain the vaccine, President Rodrigo Duterte, Senator Bong Go, and Health Secretary Francisco T. Duque III have already received vaccine doses in Pasay City. Knowing that government officials and front-liners have consented to receive the Covid-19 vaccination, I am eager to receive it. I have faith in the Department of Health, and I am hopeful that this will be a significant step forward in our fight against this pandemic. I also encourage my fellow teenagers and children to get vaccinated as well, as this will provide protection against the virus that is widely spreading.
